CHENGDU MOTOR SHOW 2025 Opens with 120 Brands and 1,600+ Vehicles

On August 29, CHENGDU MOTOR SHOW 2025 officially opened at the Western China International Expo City, running until September 7. As the first major A-class auto show of the second half of 2025 in China, it brings together global carmakers, tech innovators, and over 120 domestic and international brands, showcasing more than 1,600 vehicles across 220,000 m² of exhibition space.

This year’s event highlights cutting-edge technologies, future mobility concepts, and brand-new models making their global or China debut. Highlights include:

XPENG Motors unveiled its AI-powered lineup led by the new XPENG P7, alongside the G7, 2025 X9, MONA M03, and its next-generation humanoid robot IRON. XPENG also showcased its Turing AI driving system, proprietary AI chip, 5C ultra-fast charging, and advanced battery tech. The new P7 also completed its first deliveries in Chengdu on opening day.

Volkswagen (SAIC-Volkswagen, Gold Badge) debuted the ID. EVO Concept, a full-size intelligent electric SUV, reimagining future mobility. The brand also presented the updated SUV “YIZUO 06” with stylish new color options.

Ford China staged the global debut of its first all-terrain camping SUV, officially named the Ford Fun Bronco, bringing an immersive outdoor lifestyle experience to the show floor.

Leapmotor celebrated a dual milestone with the 10,000th Leapmotor B01 delivered and the debut of the B10’s new “Morgan Pink” color. The B10 is also set to appear at the upcoming Munich Motor Show, marking Leapmotor’s next step toward global expansion.

SAIC Volkswagen launched the all-new Lamando L, starting at RMB 119,900, while also showcasing its new racing lineup and official modification kits.
