WICV 2025 in Beijing: Leading the Era of Smart and Connected Mobility

2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference Opens in Beijing: Driving the Future of Smart Mobility

The 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference (WICV 2025) was held from October 16–18 at the Beijing Yizhuang Beiren Yichuang International Convention Center. Jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, and the Beijing Municipal Government, this national-level event has been a leading platform for the smart mobility industry since its debut in 2018.

Under the theme “Empowering Intelligence, Connecting the Future,” WICV 2025 adopted the “3+3+3+6+N” framework—featuring three plenary meetings (opening, general, and closing sessions), three special events on global cooperation, policy dialogue, and regional synergy, and six thematic forums covering AI innovation, cybersecurity, data-driven mobility, intelligent governance, and technology applications.

The exhibition showcased the latest autonomous driving technologies, including Robotaxi, Robobus, and Robovan demonstrations, highlighting “vehicle-road-cloud integration” and smart life scenarios connecting people, vehicles, and homes. Visitors experienced AI-guided navigation robots, digital twin maps, and real-time AI translation, reflecting China’s growing leadership in smart transportation.

The conference was co-organized by major institutions including the Equipment Industry Development Center (MIIT), Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, and China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC). It released multiple reports on AI + Automotive and Vehicle-Road-Cloud integration, further promoting cross-border collaboration.

For the first time, foreign ministerial officials attended the opening ceremony, joining over 1,000 global industry, academic, and government representatives to explore the next era of intelligent and connected mobility.
